On Sunday, November 26th, Young Israel of Pelham Parkway Jewish Center celebrated its 75th Anniversary, celebrating their past, present and future/.
A memoriam to longtime member Isidore Glucksman, honored President Charles Lansberg for his ten years as President and honored Yitzchak gross the newest and youngest Board member and Elissa Gelnick as newly elected Trustee.
The Young Israel has previously been located om Banes Ave. since 1959, but had to sell and relocate when the economy was stricken. A Public School stands where the Synagogue once stood, another parallel of the past and future.
In 20013, the Young Israel merged with the Pelham Parkway Jewish Center, owners of the present building. “The combination of the two organization creates a more powerful lasting influence that can only l benefit the Pelham Parkway Jewish ommunityl”, said President Landsberg.
